Interview with Lama Ajeenah : Frank Scott: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?. Lama Ajeenah : To design a contemporary Islamic design. .Frank Scott: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?. Lama Ajeenah : It took quite a long time. Almost 2 months. .Frank Scott: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?. Lama Ajeenah : It was designed for a friend of mine. It is kind of a personal project. .Frank Scott: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?. Lama Ajeenah : It is used by the client. .Frank Scott: What made you design this particular type of work?. Lama Ajeenah : I am interested in branding and Islamic design, so this was very good for me. .Frank Scott: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?. Lama Ajeenah : illustrator software. .Frank Scott: What is the most unique aspect of your design?. Lama Ajeenah : I used only two shapes to create the pattern, the circle and the square to create the patterns. Every motif is only designed once and no pattern is repeated. .Frank Scott: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?. Lama Ajeenah : I wanted to challenge myself and step out of the teaching environment to feed back into it. .
